# 115 – Golden Globe Nominees

Here is most of the full list from IMDb, I took out the categories I don’t really care which basically means that it is a list of all the important ones. Plus my own short comments.

Best Motion Picture – Drama

Nominees:

Black Swan (2010) – haven’t seen but it’s probably gonna win.

The Fighter (2010) – based on the trailer it is pretty good.

Inception (2010) – although this could also take home the winner.

The King’s Speech (2010) – this deserves to win but it isn’t going to.

The Social Network (2010) – I’m not sure if this actually deserves to win.

Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture

Nominees:

Christian Bale for The Fighter (2010) – he lost a lot of weight for this.. worth the award? Plus everybody likes him, I don’t get it.

Andrew Garfield for The Social Network (2010) – he is young and good.. worth the award? I like him.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture

Nominees:

Jacki Weaver for Animal Kingdom (2010) – I repeat.. who?

Best Director – Motion Picture

Nominees: (PS: this is so hard for me!)

Darren Aronofsky for Black Swan (2010) – lots of talk about this, probably the winner!

David Fincher for The Social Network (2010) – I’m not sure about this.

Tom Hooper for The King’s Speech (2010) – not the best I think.

Christopher Nolan for Inception (2010) – the talk has gone quiet, should win though!

David O. Russell for The Fighter (2010) – probably not.. but who knows.

Best Screenplay – Motion Picture

Nominees:

127 Hours (2010): Danny Boyle, Simon Beaufoy – I think they should take this one if…

Inception (2010): Christopher Nolan – he takes the best director (how much can one man carry?)

The Kids Are All Right (2010): Stuart Blumberg, Lisa Cholodenko – not so sure (should watch the movie)

The King’s Speech (2010): David Seidler – I think no.

The Social Network (2010): Aaron Sorkin – it was based on a book right? So no.

Best Animated Film

Nominees:

Despicable Me (2010) – It’s so fluffffffffffy!

How to Train Your Dragon (2010) – I remember this so why not.

L’illusionniste (2010) – ?

Tangled (2010) – haven’t seen it but it looks fun.

Toy Story 3 (2010) – I’d rather not see it nor see it win this.

Best Television Series – Drama

Nominees:

“Boardwalk Empire” (2009) – no comment.

“Dexter” (2006) – yes, I think this is it.

“The Good Wife” (2009) – or this one.

“Mad Men” (2007) – or this.

“The Walking Dead” (2010) – but probably the newest one, right?

Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

“The Big Bang Theory” (2007) – yes from me for this one.

“The Big C” (2010) – don’t know.

“Glee” (2009) – rather not see this win but I think I have to.

“Modern Family” (2009) – well, no ?

“Nurse Jackie” (2009) – how haven’t I heard about this?

“30 Rock” (2006) – winners, right?

So this is it, the list of categories that are the most talked about – some are really dificult, some are extremely easy but still I’m not good with guessing if I haven’t seen all of them and have to base my opinion on my knowledge of those movies/shows/actors/actresses and my taste usually isn’t the award type taste – plus it seems that these things are a lot about politics, Globes not so much but the Academy Awards seem about that a lot. Last years best director was a woman because there hadn’t been a female winner not because Hurt Locker was better than Avatar – but that is just me. Oh and let’s not forget that Hurt Locker was about war aka politics. Either way, it’s time to wait for the results which are announced Januraty 16th – stay tuned.
