A fair amount of time has passed since I saw Kong: Skull Island but considering the fact that I pretty much hated the movie, I figured I should get all that hate out of me before it festers and eats me up alive. It’s not healthy to keep bad thoughts inside for long, and therefore, my very late and not relevant review of this movie. Delivered to you from somebody who hardly remembers anything about the movie, yet wants to share her thoughts about it – it feels like the right thing to do.
Another last Thursday of the month and it means it’s time for some television recommendations – the post I love the most even though I sometimes struggle with the theme. This time around the theme was time travel, which turned out to be quite a good one for me. Especially considering the fact that all these shows in my list are really really good in my opinion. And surprise surprise, I actually managed to list four shows this week because there was a time when a lot of time travel was happening on TV, and because I could not not mention any of these.
Fast and the Furious is one of those movie franchises that I’m familiar with but not too comfortable with. Like, I’ve seen some of the movies, none of them more than once and I think I’ll never watch the seventh movie – even though I watched the eighth. And it’s very unlikely that I’ll ever revisit the entire eight movie either, even though this movie surprised me a lot. That being said, I can’t deny the fact that I won’t seek out gifsets of Jason Statham saving a baby in the near future.
Since nothing important has happened in these past few weeks, I again skipped a week and bringing you a recap of the past two weeks. Nothing has happened really, but then again, nothing ever really happens with my life these days. I just work, read, and wait for my still pending operation which means I’ve now officially been waiting for 1,5 months – past the time I was promised to have this operation. Oh, the health care system is so much fun.
Here we go again with the time period theme which I won’t excel at ever! It’s not that I hate these types of themes, it’s just I suck at them, which I guess means I don’t really like period movies in general. But for this one, I still managed to scrape together three recommendations, though it was a close call. Especially since one of the picks is almost forgotten for me and all I can remember is that I think I enjoyed it years ago.
