Netflix has become like that family member who keeps showing up at family gatherings and taking the spotlight from everyone else because it’s Netflix, and that’s what Netflix does. In other words, Netflix has come out with another original show, shocker, right? And while I still haven’t finished watching 13 Reasons Why, I’ve now watched through all 10 episodes of Glow. Here are my random thoughts on the series I ended up not loving.

Against my better judgment, I went to see How To Be Single the other week. Eventually I ended up mildly enjoying myself, while expecting to hate it. And though Dakota Johnson still can’t act, and the plot was vaguely familiar from every other romantic comedy out there, How To Be Single was not flat out bad.

Cloudy with a chance of tiny spoilers.
Gravitating towards small independent movies comes and goes in waves for me but it seems I’ve been surfing a big one lately. There’s just no motivation what so ever to watch and review every Best Picture nomination like I did last year, but just a strong urge to watch movies that don’t get big releases and awards thrown at them. Small, understated and misunderstood movies that mostly keep reassuring me that it’s okay to not know anything about everything.
