While there might be some things that never change, we as people still constantly evolve just like the world around us. Our thoughts, our tastes, our opinions – with every new grain of information something in us could change completely. We might idolise someone one minute and cringe our noses at their stupidity the next, we might find a movie absolutely brilliant, only to fall out of love with it two years later. And it’s fascinating to see and compare our present to the past, which is why I had this crazy idea to compile My Movie Alphabet Vol 2, almost five years after I posted the first one. To see how I’ve changed… and how much I’ve stayed the same.

Fight Club (1999)
This post is kind of a special one because it really doesn’t fit into my well organized system of reviews. It doesn’t really go under the Back On Track feature because I’ve seen Fight Club numerous times before but then it also doesn’t go together with the regular reviews that I usually tend to write about movies I’ve seen for the first time. So as I love symbolic meanings, I can say that to me, Fight Club is not just a special movie but even its review on my blog is one of a kind.
Burn After Reading (2008)
I have no idea why I hadn’t seen Burn After Reading before today but I’m guessing I was just stupid. Don’t worry, I’m currently metaphorically banging my head against the table whilst thinking that it took me 5 years to see this entertaining and yet serious comedy that is light years away from the previous “funny” experience I had with Identity Thief. There’s a small chance that yesterdays horror as well as Brad Pitt’s astonishing performance lead to today’s high rating but then again, Burn After Reading is delightful on its own and yet another hit for the Coen brothers.
Favorite Friends moments
A while back The Film Sloth put together her Top 10 episodes of Friends and I was utterly shocked but not in a bad way. For me, putting Friends episodes into an order is almost impossible and I can’t even seem to get the list down to 15 or something. Therefore, I went around the problem and decided to do a Top 10 of my favorite Friends moments because that required less of my brain cells. In the end though, it was still difficult and I had to summarize, like, a lot but those who’ve seen Friends, will understand this dilemma. But after some obstacles, I finally got my 10!
The Tree of Life (2011)
This post is scheduled. I’m currently on holiday and will be answering Your comments when I get back. Be sure to leave some, so returning to rain and wind would be more enjoyable.
Missing some of the most talked about movies last year wasn’t my intention, it just happened and I never got around to watch them because.. well, I didn’t feel like it. Then all of a sudden I got my motivation back and I have since watched many movies, so many in fact, that my reviews are piling up and I literally have to speed-write some of them otherwise I never will. So, The Tree of Life review is on its way and it’s not going to be a long discussion like some would might expect from this movie. Some went mad lengths to describe it.. so, I’m gonna be short and a bit unhappy about it.
