It is time for the most important lists of 2016, the two lists that matter the most: the list of best books and best movies I read and saw last year! And though it’s always hard to put things in a certain perspective, it’s even harder to put them in an order, but I’ve done this for many years and I think I’ve got it! So despite my fears and the slow burning panic that started somewhere in the middle of November, these lists took me less time than I had planned.. which is not to say that they didn’t take more than an hour, because they did but it was all for a good cause!
Despite my advantage to see Captain America: Civil War before America, it has taken me ages to just get myself focused enough to sit down for its review. After seeing it, and after seeing it for the second time, I have collected so many emotions and thoughts, that it has proven to be difficult to focus my head around the idea of writing them all down. But here’s to attempting the impossible!
Well well well. It’s another year that has gone by like that, and Mettel Ray has aged another full year! 6 years of blogging, 6 years worth of posts and growth, that sometimes feels like a task, but mostly, like a part of me that I can’t shake. This year I haven’t planned for anything, I don’t even have an idea for something spectacular. And I guess it’s fitting, just like my own birthdays became more subdued, Mettel Ray’s blog celebration took place in silence.
It is never too early to anticipate. The only downside to anticipation, is the fact that sometimes anticipation builds up so much, that you might explode. Not to mention that the longer you anticipate, the more you expect and well, sometimes that expectation is not met by the movie. But let’s not think about the negative, instead, let me share these 40 movies that will be released in 2016, in this two part post, that I want to see for various reasons and most reasons are manly.
