A 1000 Scenes from a 1000 Movies

Time is a weird concept.. it feels like sometimes it doesn’t really move at all, and then, you are already typing your 1000th post on your blog and you don’t know how you got here so fast. It feels like time is playing a practical joke on us, making time pass in strange intervals, work days feel freakishly long, and yet your day off goes by in a blink of an eye. Same applies to this post. I saw it coming, thought I had time to prepare, and suddenly I was one post away from that magical number and the pressure was on.  Then I had an idea, then I figured, what the hell, it won’t take that long… it did, but let’s not discuss this further. Some would say this idea of mine is cool, others may say it’s abnormal. I would agree with the latter but it’s because I never thought I was normal to begin with. That being said, here is the longest post I will ever post here on Mettel Ray: a post of a 1000 scenes from a 1000 movies I’ve seen over the years. So grab a coffee, warm up your wrist, and start scrolling!

(But you don’t have to.. honestly, there’s no actual point to this post really. What I could recommend is to maybe Crtl+F your favourite movies and guess which scenes I picked, or if it’s even on my list! But those brave enough, and with a great Internet connection, can spend a solid hour scrolling.. I think. I didn’t actually time this, somebody should time this. Anyway, good luck and thanks for being here!)
Warning: This post may take a while to fully load. I’m not even sure it’s fully loadable..

400th blog post celebration

400 might not be an important number to some but for me it actually is somewhat special. I have been waiting for it for quite some time now actually, the big round number of 400. Seeing the number getting closer and closer just made me realize that I’m almost at 500, then, soon I will be a 1000 and then.. I don’t know. Okay, I might me exaggerating because getting to 400 has taken me almost three years. On this rate, it will take me forever to get there but I’m ready for the ride, it’s been so fun so far! As the number got closer, I thought why not celebrate it with something special since I haven’t done it with my other hundred posts. Plus, I had a lot of time with all my school work, deadlines, additional obligations and an up-coming trip… Kidding but I still had a lot of fun putting the alphabet together, had some issues with couple of letters because some didn’t have enough options, some had too many. To be fair, a lot of my favorites were left out but overall, I think it worked out well. It consists of movies, directors, actors and actresses who’s lives revolve around movies.

I’m taking some time off from the actual posting to bring you guys some good news: today I woke up and my blog had crossed the 100,000 mark. It has been two years since I started my blog and it has taken so long to achieve this number which sadly consists of many image views. Because of that I feel like I am cheating a bit, with this 100,000 number but still, to get that amount of traffic, no matter how, is making me smile.

Hopefully I can keep things on track, now more than ever because I actually have developed a system for posting and it seems to be going rather well. New things are ahead, still making new pages to be published next month and couple of ideas regarding making my long posts a bit shorter have become very possible. All of this is focused on getting more followers and new permanent readers. Should I mention that you’re very welcome to push the follow button, connect mr. Movie Blog with Bloglovin’ and subscribe for e-mail updates? All that would make me extremely happy, to say it mildly.

And since I skipped my 2 year birthday post last month, I decided to celebrate the blogs birthday today as well! This just means that I am watching movies and writing posts the whole day. For a movie blogger, that is celebrating on a higher level!

To all my followers and readers,

thank you so much!
