I’m going to quote IMDb and say: “The big day is finally here!” but I don’t really care for all that buzz that’s going on. Firstly because it’s going to be pretty late (for me) when the show is on and I have never watched it live. Secondly, I can never say which actor deserves it better and which movie is worth more – I think you could say that I haven’t developed my award-sensitive nose yet. Despite all of that, I’m still going to list ALL nine Best Picture nominations in my Top 9 – some of it is based on ratings, but most of it highly based on my own subjective taste and opinions.

First off, don’t be mad about the rating, I know it’s super low and most likely will anger many Hathaway fans, Jackman fans and Hooper fans as well, but I just couldn’t rate it higher than this. Reasons are quite simple, first off, I myself am not a fan of musicals, I would’ve avoided Les Misérables completely if I hadn’t promised to see all the Best Picture nominations. Second reason being the fact that this movie happened to be in a situation of comparison, and currently the lowest score I’ve given was one point higher than RAW. Therefore, taking into account MY personal preferences and MY experience with the previous nominations, Les Miséreables failed to impress.

As you can see, this is the beginning of a set of TOP 10’s that will appear until a new year will come along (today, tomorrow, 28th, 31st and January 1st) and everything starts all over again. To say at least, I’m very excited to end off this year and also welcome new beginnings: 2012 has been extremely amazing! To celebrate this occasion I decided to put together five lists of things that I missed, I loved, I loved some more, I reviewed and I managed to achieve with this blog. Are you excited? I am!
