The Dark Knight Rises

And the time has arrived, I’m now finally posting a review on this summer’s most anticipated movies. To give you an idea of my struggles to write this post, just know, that this is the third draft for The Dark Knight Rises. It was and still is difficult to form precise thoughts on Christopher Nolan’s end to the Batman trilogy and possibly the end of the best Batman story ever told. Needless to say, I’ve been thinking about writing this review for weeks and every time I try to analyze the movie I get stuck in this area of vague feelings flouting around. From the moment of walking out of the cinema up until now, I have been certain that I liked the movie rather than loved it but with every draft I keep confusing myself and these vague illusions of “loved it” keep popping into my mind so, even after almost a month of contemplating my feelings about TDKR I still have no idea, if I like it a lot or love it.

Love Me If You Dare (2003)

Certainly I’m no expert on the matter of foreign films, I watch them quite rarely and well, I’m no Bonjour Tristesse but I do stumble on some when I get the courage. Love Me If You Dare was a French movie I watched about a month ago and the reason I’m getting to this now, is because I just remembered its ending the other day. Before that, I had every attention to skip this movie review completely, because I found it impossible to review up to the point where I couldn’t get it out of my head.

# 191 – Batman: The Dark Knight Rises (trailer special)

It seems like forever since The Dark Knight drove into the night and Heath Ledger won an Oscar posthumously but Christopher Nolan is finally back (after inceptioning us) and The Dark Knight Rises. He has added my other favorite Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the mix which for me is kind of weird and awesome at the same time cause he looks so much like Ledger. I think we get a climps of him in the trailer and if yes, then he looks hauntingly  good. But what is a Batman movie without Catwoman? – probably nothing because Anne Hatheway is putting on the catsuit. Other than that, Christian Bale returns as Batman and  has probably dealt with his problems but I doubt that he wouldn’t have new ones waiting for him. The teaser trailer doesn’t give away much but I’m sure it wouldn’t be anything less than the final episode of Batman’s “life” and Nolan is always at his best when it comes to action so I’m waiting for this one eagerly.

PS: Here’s the poster for the third movie and since it is absolutely amazing I saw no reason not to add it to the post.
