When I sat down this morning, I didn’t expect to write such an elaborate post but clearly I’m crazy, so here we go. There are 75 movies in this list, 75 movies I saw in 2017 and all listed in a chronological order from which I saw them from January to December. Reviews included for those I wrote about, but I didn’t add any ratings because I don’t want to spoil the Best & Worst of 2017 post coming next year. Oh, and the ones I saw in December will have reviews up next year, I promise. Hope you enjoy!
Last week went by so fast, and I have a feeling this one is going to end sooner than I would like as well. It always happens during the easier weeks, when the stress is minimal, and there’s more free time. The free time just gets lost, and then suddenly it’s Monday again. Am I making sense? Probably not, but then again, it’s Monday and nothing ever makes sense on Mondays.
Time is a weird concept.. it feels like sometimes it doesn’t really move at all, and then, you are already typing your 1000th post on your blog and you don’t know how you got here so fast. It feels like time is playing a practical joke on us, making time pass in strange intervals, work days feel freakishly long, and yet your day off goes by in a blink of an eye. Same applies to this post. I saw it coming, thought I had time to prepare, and suddenly I was one post away from that magical number and the pressure was on. Then I had an idea, then I figured, what the hell, it won’t take that long… it did, but let’s not discuss this further. Some would say this idea of mine is cool, others may say it’s abnormal. I would agree with the latter but it’s because I never thought I was normal to begin with. That being said, here is the longest post I will ever post here on Mettel Ray: a post of a 1000 scenes from a 1000 movies I’ve seen over the years. So grab a coffee, warm up your wrist, and start scrolling!
Fall has always signified new beginnings for me. It’s not the New Year’s Eve that brings change, it’s the change in the air, the vast alteration in nature and for most importantly, for years, it symbolized the beginning of a new school year. This year, fall means changes that have happened on Mettel Ray, changes, that will hopefully stir my creativity and motivation a little. Changes, that were inevitable as I have changed and this blog, has always been a reflection of me.
