Happy 7th birthday, Mettel Ray!

To celebrate, I decided to host a grand event, and since sequels are in fashion, what better way to stay relevant than to bring out a sequel of my own: which is why My Movie Alphabet is back!!! Those of you who were here in November 2012 probably remember what this is all about but don’t worry if you have no idea, I’ll fill you in. You see, back in 2012 I wrote a post to celebrate my 400th post, and someone mentioned the word blogathon, and the rest is history (check out this amazing list of participants and Our Movie Alphabet). Well, I’m digging up history for #MettelRaySe7en because times change, people change, our opinions change, and plus, they keep making good movies! So obviously I have to stay with the times and host My Movie Alphabet Vol 2 blogathon for all you old (not age wise because we are all young at heart) and new readers!

This is my 700th post and what better way to celebrate yet another milestone than to look back and realize how much you’ve grown over the years. When I started, I was pretty much a rookie at everything, including expressing my thoughts and now, after writing hundreds of posts, I can say I’ve reached a place in my life where I can honestly say I’m proud of my ability to write coherent and meaningful paragraphs. So to give myself a little pat on the back, I’m going to share my favorite posts I’ve written among all the 700 here on Mettel Ray.

Our movie alphabet

It has been a blast to host my first ever blogathon and it’s even a greater joy to see it come to an end. More than a month has past during which 41 movie alphabets (including my own) were created by awesome bloggers and this post will bring all of them together one last time. Before I get to Our Movie Alphabet, I wanna give a shout out to all of them here in this list – thank you all for participating and making this into an exciting experience!

Thanks to a kind recommendation, I’m hosting my first ever Blogathon! The idea is simple but trust me when I say this, deciding on a list is far more difficult – are you ready for the challenge? 400th blog post celebration

400 might not be an important number to some but for me it actually is somewhat special. I have been waiting for it for quite some time now actually, the big round number of 400. Seeing the number getting closer and closer just made me realize that I’m almost at 500, then, soon I will be a 1000 and then.. I don’t know. Okay, I might me exaggerating because getting to 400 has taken me almost three years. On this rate, it will take me forever to get there but I’m ready for the ride, it’s been so fun so far! As the number got closer, I thought why not celebrate it with something special since I haven’t done it with my other hundred posts. Plus, I had a lot of time with all my school work, deadlines, additional obligations and an up-coming trip… Kidding but I still had a lot of fun putting the alphabet together, had some issues with couple of letters because some didn’t have enough options, some had too many. To be fair, a lot of my favorites were left out but overall, I think it worked out well. It consists of movies, directors, actors and actresses who’s lives revolve around movies.
