While there might be some things that never change, we as people still constantly evolve just like the world around us. Our thoughts, our tastes, our opinions – with every new grain of information something in us could change completely. We might idolise someone one minute and cringe our noses at their stupidity the next, we might find a movie absolutely brilliant, only to fall out of love with it two years later. And it’s fascinating to see and compare our present to the past, which is why I had this crazy idea to compile My Movie Alphabet Vol 2, almost five years after I posted the first one. To see how I’ve changed… and how much I’ve stayed the same.

You shall not pass if you want to avoid spoilers.
There’s a certain power to Spike Jonze’s Her that might not be evident at first but give it time, give it a week even and the idea of Her will slowly but surely build up in your mind into something amazing. That is, after Her you start looking at technology in a whole new way and suddenly you realize, having that artificial friendship/relationship might not be a far fetched idea after all.

It’s been a while since I did my favorites post and I feel a bit bad, it’s not because I haven’t had favorites, it’s because I just haven’t had enough. But I figured, it doesn’t matter, I can ramble about few of my favorites for hours anyway, so why not do it each month. So I’m kicking this tradition into motion for the second time, harder this time, so it would actually get itself started. Also, this marks my third post this week, which means this one is extra special and I have done extremely well with my resolution to post two posts each week. Yay!

Tiny spoiler-baby is ahead, you’ve been warned.
Two posts a week, that was my promise to myself and therefore you guys are getting two posts on this fine Sunday. One I already published, and this is obviously the second one – what a great way to end a week, right? Also, there’s no better way to end it than with a positive review. Drinking Buddies was the last movie I saw in 2013 and making the choice based on its name and the trailer, I was sure I wasn’t going to be disappointed. And giving the fact that I’m on a good movie binge right now, I’m proud to say that I really enjoyed Drinking Buddies.

I know it’s not my typical review posting day but I have a little goal to fill and that is to get to 60 reviews and this being the 60th I thought why not do a Sunday one to finish off the last week of 2012. And what better way to do so that to admit that I kind of liked The Words but not really, to be honest, I didn’t expect to have any positive feelings at all but that happened so, I liked it. I also didn’t know that Jeremy Irons was in it (there’s a consequence of my non-interest towards Cooper and his movies) and if I’d known that, this review would be already written months ago!
