#MettelRaySe7en: My Movie Alphabet Vol 2

While there might be some things that never change, we as people still constantly evolve just like the world around us. Our thoughts, our tastes, our opinions – with every new grain of information something in us could change completely. We might idolise someone one minute and cringe our noses at their stupidity the next, we might find a movie absolutely brilliant, only to fall out of love with it two years later. And it’s fascinating to see and compare our present to the past, which is why I had this crazy idea to compile My Movie Alphabet Vol 2, almost five years after I posted the first one. To see how I’ve changed… and how much I’ve stayed the same.

The reason of this post is quite obvious, it’s the 50th birthday of Quentin Tarantino! The man who needs no further introduction nor explanations why this post is being brought to you. Tarantino has made such movies like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained – many of them my own personal favorites. So in order to celebrate one of my favorite director’s jubilee, I decided to put together this list of 10 things I love about him in no particular order!

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

reservoir dogsWith a movie like Reservoir Dogs there’s so much to say but it’s super difficult to know where to start. I mean, how would you begin with describing Quentin Tarantino’s first movie which was followed by the beloved Pulp Fiction and a handful of other great movies? Especially in a situation where most Tarantino fans have already seen Reservoir Dogs and think you’re an idiot for waiting so long to finally see it. And as you start writing the review a feeling of quilt probably kicks in just because you truly are incredibly stupid for watching Reservoir Dogs for the first time in 2013 – so yes, I’m a fucking idiot and here’s my review!
