This month is focusing around school and college, and teen angst is well connected to both those topics. But since angst itself is a something that can happen outside education, I’ve selected movies that have more to do with teenagers and less to do with school.

TOP 10 SPECIAL: Year 2012 highlights – part 4
Here it is, the final official post of 2012 that will take this blog into 2013 with a bang. Or, hopefully without an actual bang but you know what I mean. Whilst this post is being prepared, basically a week before this will be read by the eyes of you, I’m already quite thrilled of how 2012 turned out.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower has released a trailer
Just going to put it out there into the universe so I wouldn’t forget (although I doubt I ever will forget but who knows what might happen) – I’m impatiently waiting to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Waited it before I even saw the trailer because I read the book after I found out they were making it into a movie and it feels like forever ago and I would read the book again but my friend has it and she lives in a town that doesn’t believe in bus traffic between my town. Oh, I got a bit side-tracked with this so I’m just getting it back on track (did you saw that clever word play I just used) – I loved the book! Took me a day to read it, that’s how much I loved it. Now the trailer is out and I can’t wait.. it is like waiting for my birthday, though much more surprising because I hardly ever get any surprises for my birthday. But that’s not what I wanted to say at all. All I wanted to say was – ou em gi, the premier is so close! Perks hit the screen-wall (and the wordplay just keeps on rolling off my fingertips) on September 14.
PS: I feel like it is necessary to mention that the author of the book, Stephen Chbosky, is also the man behind the screenplay and he, as it seems, wants to do everything on his own therefore also sits on the director’s chair. One thing for sure, I am pretty sure the movie will do justice for the book because no author wants to ruin his work by actually making a bad movie of it. Oh and he’s an Aquarius, not that it plays an important role but I, as a fellow Aquarius, like all my water pouring sign-brothers and -sisters.
