Fictional Friday: 5 Favourite Books With a Fake Relationship Trope

This week is turning into a romance explosion, and honestly, I didn’t plan this. It just.. happened, and once I realised, it was too late. Besides, this week seems to be the best time to dive into my favourite literature trope – fake relationship. For those who are not familiar, it’s basically a relationship the main characters agree to fake it in front of everyone. The reasons behind this are always different, but the faking itself is what I grave for. I just love it when two characters have to jump past the actual falling in love part, and work their way backwards of sorts. Here are my 5 favourite books that have a fake relationship trope.

Fictional Friday: 70 Books I Read in 2017

Here comes one of the most important posts of the year, the reading wrap up of the entire year! 2017 for me was pretty great, considering I read 70 books and so many of those books were actually pretty darn good. I did have a few misses but not the worst year, considering I DNF’d only two books, one less than last year. There are a lot of YA romance novels and romance novels in this list because I was pushing myself to finish my reading challenge with easy reads all year. But without any further ado, find out which books I loved, which ones I didn’t and which I felt neutral about!

Thursday Movie Picks: 2018 Movies You’re Looking Forward To

The end is near with 2017 Thursday Movie Picks but have no fear, I will continue on in 2018 – there’s no doubt in that! There’s still one post left in the Television Edition next week, but this post marks the end for movie picks, so I thought I’d pick five instead of three to make it extra special. By the way, I’ve left out ALL the superhero movies because frankly, there are so many and I already know I’m going to watch them so, what’s the point in sharing them.

Reading Wrap Up: May

Images taken from my personal bookstagram account

Here we are, almost at the midpoint of 2017, and I’m enjoying reading just as much as I did at the beginning of the year. Not to jinx it, but I’ve successfully avoided reading slumps and I’m ahead of my challenge which means I can now pick up heavier books. That being said, I do love an occasional adult romance novel these days, so there will be few of them mentioned here and in the future. Also, for this month I wanted to shake things up a bit and I added visuals to my post. It took me ages! Like, honestly, it took me less time to actually write the reviews than to pick the images to accompany each book! That being said, here is my newly refreshed reading wrap up of all the books I read in May.

Reading Wrap Up: March

Follow my book related Instagram @fangirlshideout

After a slow start to the month, I found some magical reading energy and powered through quite a few young adult romance novels by the end of March. It’s still quite sad to look at my reading list this year so far because there are clearly some strong reading slumps that I’ve avoided with easy reads. While there’s nothing wrong with easy-reads, I feel like I need to grab for heavier books and topics, and I need to finish a lot of unfinished series! Plus, even though I’ve never managed to actually stick with a TBR list, I should give it a go in April… I should, and I know could.. but would I!? Probably not.
